LIFE DECISION GUIDE
Should I move?
A move can create opportunity, but it also concentrates financial, practical, and emotional risk into a short period. Start by naming the exact problem the move is supposed to solve, then test whether the destination actually solves it.
Check these six things first
- Purpose: Are you moving toward a specific benefit, or mainly trying to escape a temporary feeling?
- Money: Can you cover deposits, transport, setup costs, insurance, and several months of living expenses?
- Housing: Have you checked real listings, contract terms, commute, utilities, noise, and neighborhood conditions?
- Work and legal status: Are employment, taxes, residency, visa, and licensing requirements confirmed?
- Health and safety: Can you access healthcare, medication, transportation, and emergency support?
- People and fallback: Who can help locally, and what will you do if the move is not working after three months?
When the answer should be no
Delay the move when it depends on an unverified job, unaffordable debt, unsafe housing, missing legal permission, or the hope that geography alone will solve a serious health or relationship problem. For immigration, tenancy, tax, medical, or personal-safety issues, use qualified local advice.
